SBAAHL Playoffs

  • The Swift Current Kabos Broncos are the SBAAHL Champions after sweeping the Sask Valley Vipers in 2 straight games in the league final.  The Broncos took the final game yesterday 4-0 on 2-1-3 from Riley Dekowny and 2003 born G – Justin Dueck stopping all 42 shots he faced.  The Broncos will advance to the Western Canada Bantam  Hockey Championships as the SBAAHL representative while the Sask Valley Vipers will attend as hosts.

AMBHL Playoffs

  • At Fort Saskatchewan, the Lethbridge Golden Hawks were facing elimination but bounced the host Rangers instead by a scored of 7-2.  2003 born Zack Stringer scored a hat-trick and Ridly Greig had 2-2-4 and Brayden Peters stopped 26/28 for the win.  Sebastian Cossa had a rare off night stopping just 13/20 for Fort Saskatchewan.  Game 4 of the best of 5 series goes today in Fort Saskatchewan.  If necessary, game 5 would go back in Lethbridge on Wednesday.

Manitoba Provincial Championships

  • The Winnipeg Monarchs are Manitoba Provincial Champions after a 5-4 2OT win over the Pembina Valley Hawks.  The Monarchs will advance to the Western Canada Bantam Hockey Championships at the end of the month in Warman, SK.

USA Rocky Mountain Championships

  • It will be the Rocky Mountain Roughriders vs. the Arizona Bobcats in today’s Rocky Mountain District Championship game.  Rocky Mountain advanced after going 3-0-0 in the 4 team round robin which included a 5-3 head-to-head win over Arizona.  Arizona went 2-1-0 in the round robin.

CSSHL Finals

The top 2 teams from the regular season are meeting in the CSSHL final as the Delta Academy Prep are taking on POE this morning.  Delta finished at 27-2-1 in the regular season and POE was 25-1-4.  Both teams were 4-0-0 in qualifying for today’s final.
