Game 5:  Rink Hockey Academy 3 – Gentry Academy 2….End 2nd

Game 4:  Great Plains Academy 4 – Colorado Thunderbirds 1

Great Plains are now 2-0-0 and drop the Thunderbirds to 0-2-0 in the process.  Big Jackson Borst had his 2nd consecutive strong game but this time he found the scoresheet with 2 goals while Ethan Elias added 1-1-2.  Triston Tabucol had another strong game with 1-1-2 giving him 2-3-5 through 2 games.  The lone scorer for Colorado was Kelsen Evenson.  Both teams will play once again tomorrow morning.

Gentry Hockey Academy 7 – Anaheim Jr. Ducks 2

Anaheim were able to hang around and actually had a 2-1 lead on a pair of PP in the 2nd period but the Lucius brothers took over the game and put the Ducks away in the 2nd and in to the 3rd period.  Chaz Lucius, who we currently have ranked as the 1st overall prospect from the Western USA showed why with amazing hands, vision and offensive awareness and explosiveness.  His 2004 born brother Cruz is much small but his vision is simply outstanding and the two would come for 9 points in the game.  Bennett Schimek, the 3rd player on the line is skilled as well and also having a strong game was Jake Martin on defence for Gentry.  Anaheim had nice showing for Lee, Palmersheim and D – Cole Busher.

Great Plains 6 – Dallas Stars Elite 0

Dallas was no challenge for the Minnesota powerhouse Great Plains team in this one.  Great Plains outshot Dallas 31-12 and were powered by big 6’3 225lbs Jackson Borst who was held pointless but was a force all game long and controlled things when on the ice.  Leading the way offensively on the scoresheet was smallish F – Jackson Blake with 2-1-3 while also picking up three point games was Justin Janicke with 1-2-3 and Triston Tabucol with 1-2-3.  Up next for Great plains will be a matchup vs. RHA tonight in what should be a good game.

Rink Hockey Academy 7 – Colorado Thunderbirds 0

Same case in game 2 of the day with RHA all over Colorado from start to finish.  RHA held a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period on a goal by small but talented Skyler Bruce.  Then in the 2nd period, RHA erupted for 5 goals in about 10 minutes before the game went to straight running time where RHA cruised to the win.  Skyler Bruce sniped a 3rd period goal as well for the only multi goal scorer of the game.  Aidan Litke was a offensive force in a set-up roll today while Eric Alarie, Owen Weihs and D – Carson Lambos all looked very strong.  RHA will play Great Plains tonight!
