Game 16:  BC Bears 6 – Edmonton Wild 3

  • The Bears are now 2-1-0 and the Wild 0-3-0 after a 6-3 Bears win.  First round ranked Carter MacAdams had a Hat Trick to lead the way, giving him 4-2-6.  Jack Clarke picked up 2 goals for the Wild.  Shots on goal in this one was 48-19 Bears.

Game 15:  Prairie Lightning 6 – Arizona Elite Hockey 2

  • The Prairie Lightning are now 3-0-0 and drop Arizona to 0-3-0 after the 6-2 win.  2005 born Brayden Yager once again was the catylist scoring 2 goals while fellow 05 born Riley Heidt had 1-2-3.  Jhett Larson of Martensville, SK had 1-2-3 as well.  The Prairie Lightning outshot the Arizona team 57-15.

Game 14:  Minnesota Blades 6 – Manitoba Team Extreme 2

  • The Minnesota Blades are now 3-0-0 and drop the Manitoba squad to 1-2-0 after a 6-2 win. Josh Giuliani was once again strong picking up 2 goals to give him 4-2-6 in 3 games while top 04 Minnesota prospect Isaac Howard had 1-1-2 and was giving POG honors.  Howard now has 3-6-9 in 3 games!  For Manitoba, Kalen Reynolds and Jackson Sirrell scored.

Game 13:  Rebels 10 – Havoc Jr. Flames 5

  • The Havoc Jr. Flames held in for a while vs. the powerful Rebels team but the Rebels were too much in the end.  Littered with top prospects, the Rebels got 2-2-4 each from top 5 overall prospect in the 2004 age group Bowden Singleton and first rounder Jordan Gustafson.  Also picking up a pair of markers was Dawson Creek first round ranked prospect Hayden Smith and Abbotsford’s Ben Thornton.  Oaisiz Weisblatt of Calgary had 2-2-4 and Lethbridge F – Marshall Finnie had 1-2-3 to lead the way for the Jr. Flames.  Eric Roest stopped 29/39 for the Jr. Flames and Aiden Kruhlek 24/29 for the Rebels.

Game 12:  Western Flyers 7 – PNW 2

  • Top 04 prospect Koehn  Zimmer picks up 4 goals in the 7-2 win to move the Western Flyers to 1-1-0 and drop PNW to 0-2-0.  Tyler MacKenzie of Red Deer had 2 goals and Billal Noori with 1-1-2.  Parker Konneke had 2 assists for PNW.

Game 11;  Vancouver Jr. Canucks 9 – Minnesota Machine 1

  • The Jr. Canucks are 2-0-0 and have scored 15 goals through 2 games after a big 9-1 win.  The Minnesota Machine are 1-1-0.  Leading the way for the Jr. Canucks was high end Manitoba prospect Tyson Zimmer with 3-1-4.  Top Ontario prospect Shane Wright was given POG and had 2-1-3.  Merik Erickson stopped 12/13 shots for the Jr. Canucks.

Game 10:  Havoc Jr. Flames 5 – Arizona Elite Hockey 0

  • It was a battle of 0-1-0 teams but the Jr. Flames prevailed thanks to a pair of goals from Marcus Nguyen and 1-1-2 from POG Shae Van Olm.  A pair of strong D – Cole Tanchuk and Jaren Brinson each scored as well.  Picking up the shutout was Eric Roest.  Arizona have yet to score a goal through 2 games.

Game 9:  BC Bears 3 – Manitoba Team Extreme 2

  • Both teams are 1-1-0 after a 3-2 Bears win this morning.  Bennett Gagliardi broke the tie just past the midway point of the 3rd period to earn the win for the Bears.  Ethan Williment scored his first 2 goals of the tournament for the Manitoba Team Extreme.

Game 8:  Prairie Lightning 5 – Rebels 3

  • In a battle of two of the better 04 teams at the NAHC, it was the Prairie Lightning line of 05’s who were the difference in the 5-3 win.  The all 2005 born line of Riley Heidt, Brayden Yager and Kalan Lind were in on 3 of the 5 goals with Yager picking up 2-1-3 and Lind with 1-1-2.  Lind was given POG honors.  Fort Saskatchewan high end F – Jordan Gustafson scored 2 goals for the Rebels.  In goal, Justen Maric stopped 24/29 for the Rebels and top Saskatchewan ranked goalie Ethan Chadwick stopped 23/26 and was great according to our scout in attendance.

Game 7:  Minnesota Blades 6 – Edmonton Wild 2

  • The Minnesota Blades are now 2-0-0 and drop the Wild to 0-2-0.  Josh Giuliani picked up 2-1-3 to give him 2-2-4 through 2 games to lead the way.  Also having a good performance was Gavyn Thoreson with 1-3-4 to give him 1-4-5.  Cole Spicer had another 1-1-2 and he has a tournament leading 3-5-8!  Spicer has always put up huge points in his minor hockey career.  For the Wild, Brett Butz and Owen Pringle scored.
