The 2003 Minnesota Machine Orange squad took home the tournament championship with a 4-1 victory over the 03 Euro American team.  Jackson Borst led the tournament in scoring with 7-7-14 in the 5 games for the Minnesota Machine Orange.  Other notables were Trevor Janicke finishing 3rd in tournament scoring with 3-5-8, Ben Palmersheim (Anaheim) 4-2-6.

Many of the top 2004 born players from the province of Manitoba took part in the CCM Rising Stars PLUS+ tournament this weekend.  There were 17 teams of players to decipher through, but the top ranked prospects did sure up nonetheless.  Demelash McKay from Rivers East Winnipeg led the tournament in scoring with 9-4-13 in 3 games and Conor Geekie who is ranked in the top 5 overall at this point was 2nd with 6-5-11.  High ranked Manitoba defenseman Denton Mateychuk led all defenseman in scoring with 6-4-10 in 4 games.

Our scout in attendance really liked the play of the obvious top ranked talents but also noticed Carter Anderson from Thompson, MB as player to watch moving forward.  The games for goalies were split in half each game but Dakota McIntosh had a very good weekend.  Miguel Bouvier continues to improve with each and every viewing and of course Conor Geekie who was all over the place and once again very dominant.  Caden Zaplitny also showed very well and really carried his team.  High ranked prospect Riley Zimmer did not play this weekend.
