Japanese Phenom – Iguchi

The 2003 born division thus far has been dominated by the powerhouse spring team – BC Bears.  The Bears have gone 4-0-0 thus far in preliminary play with just 1 game remaining before the playoff round.  A pair of BWC Bruins have led the Bears with Trevor Wong leading with 4-7-11 with a game to go tonight and Caedan Bankier has 2-8-10.  Aito Iguchi of Japan is leading the tournament in goals with 8 through 5 games and his teammate has 1-8-9 – Adam Grenier who is from BWC.

Many of these BC 03’s taking part are in our current rankings with top ranked Trevor Wong all the way down to players ranked in our later rounds.  Stay tuned for final thoughts and updates tomorrow.

The 2004 born division, the Okanagan Lakers are 3-0-1 with 33 GF and 5 GA and lead the “Blue Pool” and Vancouver Selects Blue are 4-0-0 with 26 GF and 8 GA in the “Green Pool”.

Several top and ranked 04s are leading the Selects Blue such as; Brayden Edwards (7-4-11) and Tyson Dyck (5-5-10) who are 1-2 in division scoring.  High ranked Brayden Schuurman has 5-3-8.  All three players are from Abbotsford.  Koehn Zimmer (Alberta) leads his Lakers team with 7-2-9.  He had over 80 goals in the PWNHL this past season.  Caleb Reimer (Cloverdale) leads the tournament in goals with 8.  Again, many of the players from are ranked in our 2004 rankings – Dozens!
