Langley Rivermen 6 – Vancouver Selects 1

Japanese youtube sensation (check his videos) comes over each year to play spring hockey and put on a show and tonight he scored a hat-trick as did his team-mate Hunter Harwood (West Kelowna) and Adam Grenier (BWC) had 3 assists in a 6-1 win.  Kobe Verbicky had the lone goal for Vancouver.  Verbicky played with Oceanside on Vancouver Island and is relatively unknown but not for long!  He will be attending Yale academy in the fall. Ajeet Gundarah (Seafair) stopped 31/32 shots.

BC Bears 6 – BC Kodiaks 5

Top 10 overall ranked 03 prospect Tyler Wong had 1-3-4 as did Caedan Bankier – both of BWC in a 6-5 win.  Jacob Bonkowski (Seafair) replied with 2 goals for the Kodiaks and Austin Kofler (Richmond) had 1-2-3.

PNW 5 – BC Blackhawks 2

  • Calvin Osterberger (IDAHO) had 1-1-2 and Makai Sanders had 1-1-2 as well in leading PNW to the win.  Lucas Poratto (NSWC) turned aside 21/23 shots for the win.  Conner Merriman and Trevor Mark Thurston both of Delta chipped in with singles.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 2 – Okanagan Lakers 2

  • The Roest twins lead the Lakers to a 2-2 tie vs. Anaheim tonight.  Our 04 Alberta Scout Jaeger White really likes these Lethbridge boys Austin with 2 goals and Eric in goal stopping 28/30 shots.  Michael Karvelas had 1-1-2 for Anaheim

Vancouver Selects Black 5 – Rivermen 2

  • Drew Dornan with a pair of goals for the Selects Black.  Ashton Boschmann with 1-1-2 for the Rivermen.  Trevor Agnew (Langley) was lights out in stopping 59/61 shots for the Selects Black.  Kyle Kelsey stopped 12/17 for Langley.

Vancouver Selects Blue 5 – BC Bears 4

  • Tyson Dyck (Abbotsford) led the way with 2 goals for the Selects Blue.  Brandon Whynott (Langley) with 3 assists.  Both Brayden Edwards and Brayden Schuurman of Abbotsford had 1-1-2.  Schuurman is one of the highest currently 04’s.  For the Bears, high ranked Carter MacAdams (Langley) had 1-1-2 and D- Kyle Chyzowski (Semiahmoo) with a pair of assists.  In goal, Taje Gill (Langley) stopped 22/27 for the Bears and Kolby Hay (Abbotsford) stopped 28/32.

Vikings 4 – PNW 1

  • For the Vikings it was Jarrod Smith with 1-2-3 and Jadon Kwiatkowski the lone goal for PNW.  Conor Smith stopped 14/15 for the Vikings and Rhys Netherton 27/31 for PNW.

BC Blackhawks 8 – BC Lightning 6

  • High scoring Caleb Reimer (Cloverdale) had a huge start to the tournament with 4 goals to lead the way for the Blackhawks.  Devon Meadows (Coquitlam) had a pair of goals and picking up 3 assists was Sheldyn Scott.  In goal, Nick Peters stopped 23/29.  For the Lightning, Kyle Kalamaras paced the attack with 1-1-2.  Brandon Lisowsky (BWC) had a goal as well.
