The first WHL Prospect Combine scheduled to take place south of the 49th parallel in May 2017.

The WHL and its combine’s partners have announced that there will be a WHL Prospect Combine taking place in Dallas, TX from May 20-21, 2017.

This two-day event, open to players born from 2001 to 2005, will utilize the same testing done at the Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game as well as the same testing done by a number of WHL teams and various NHL clubs.

Similarly to the other WHL Combine initiatives, these test results will be entered into the exclusive WHL Combines database that is used by WHL clubs to track and identify players. Over the past three combine seasons, the WHL Combine program has tested nearly 8,000 playersto help with their player development along with exposing them to the Western Hockey League.

The WHL Prospect Combines are operated on behalf of the WHL by the Penticton-based Okanagan Hockey Group, an international leader in hockey school instructional programs and hockey academics. Under its agreement with the WHL, OHG will provide the highest quality instructors and testing personnel for each WHL Combine.
